Export Compliance

SeaweedFS software may include standard encryption functionality, such as TLS for data in transit and optional encryption-related features for storage and access control.

SeaweedFS is self-classified under the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

Current Classification

• ECCN: 5D002
• License Exception: ENC
• Mass market treatment: 5D992.c, where applicable

SeaweedFS does not currently have a CCATS certificate.

Distribution and Use

SeaweedFS software may be downloaded in the United States and deployed outside the United States under License Exception ENC, subject to normal export control restrictions. This does not authorize export, re-export, or use in embargoed countries, by denied parties, or for prohibited end uses.

Customers are responsible for complying with applicable export control and sanctions laws in their own jurisdictions.
